Scope and Contents
The James Hagerman Collection contains programs, photographs, postcards, a script, correspondence, and rehearsal and travel schedules from 1950s international tours of
Porgy and Bess. Some of the materials are in languages other than English, reflecting the native languages of the countries in which the tour performed. The materials in this collection date from 1952 through 1990, although the majority of the materials date from 1952 through 1965.
