The Columbus Ensemble Theatre was an ensemble theatre that opened in 1985. Ensemble theatres shun corporate models of theatre operation in favor of operation models more dedication to supporting artists and artistic process. The Columbus Ensemble Theatre operated out of the Masonic Temple in downtown Columbus for two years. They were plagued with financial problems that began to hinder operation and in 1987, theatre operations were suspended, assets were sold off, and the theatre was closed.
The Columbus Ensemble Theatre Records contains brochures, programs, press releases, and other promotional materials. Materials range in date from 1984-1987.
