Abraham P. Waxman, who mostly went by "A.P." was a theatre and film producer and manager. He was an executive for Radio Keith Orpheum, Gaumont-British, Roxio, Radio City Hall, and Warner Brothers. Waxman was the American manager for actor Charles Laughton and he also directed actress June Havoc in a musical called "Sadie Thompson." Waxman tried to develop and produce a film about the Lambs Club, a London and New York City men's social club for actors, singers, writers, and other people in the theatrical and film industries. The film was never made.

Materials are arranged chronologically, based on either the date on the printed item or the date Waxman created the item. Researchers should note that the list of contents in this series does not appear entirely chronological because Waxman established a correspondence filing system in 1934, which he split between several folders and added new items and folders to until 1948. Waxman's correspondence files have been kept together as a group, and are placed in the list with other materials created in 1934; because Waxman added some new folders to his file system after 1934, these items will appear chronologically out of order when viewing the list from top to bottom. Waxman's correspondence filing system can be found in the list starting with the file "Waxman (A. P.) "A" business correspondence," and ending with the file "Yanigyan (Gurgen) correspondence."

P.) 'B' correspondence" and ending with the file "Waxman (A. P.) correspondence."
