            <abstract id="ref4" label="Abstract">Caldwell Titcomb was a Professor Emeritus of Music at Brandeis University, an American theatre critic, and a member of the American Theatre Critics Association. His published articles, books, and columns mostly focused on Black culture and theatre. The Caldwell Titcomb Papers contain photocopies of Titcomb’s theatre production reviews as well as articles written on theatre awards, casting, theatre company news, theatre conferences, and other related topics, published between 1987-1996. They are mainly from the 
                <emph render="italic">Bay State Banner</emph> and 
                <emph render="italic">New England Entertainment Digest</emph>, but other publications such as 
                <emph render="italic">Black Faces</emph> and 
                <emph render="italic">Critics Quarterly</emph> are also included. The photocopies are dated circa 1990-1998.</abstract>

                <emph render="italic">New England Entertainment Digest</emph>, Total Theatre.com, Playbill On-Line, and TheArtsFuse.com.</p>
