 Biographical Note

Catherine Stadem (1938-) is a theatre critic, journalist and playwright, active in Anchorage, Alaska as of 2005. She received a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and an Master in Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Stadem worked for Anchorage Times as a freelance theatre critic from 1983-1992, and later as a theater critic for the Anchorage Daily News. Stadem served as vice chair and on various committees in the American Theatre Critics Association.

 Scope and Contents

The Catherine Stadem Theatre Review Clippings contain photocopies of reviews written by Catherine Stadem and published in the Anchorage Times from 1983-1991, and in the Anchorage Daily News from 1993-1999. The reviews are for Anchorage area theater performances, and include mime shows, children's shows, readings, operas, and musicals.
