Yanci Bukovec is a Hungarian pantomime who goes by Yanci. He worked with Marcel Marceau in hundreds of performances all over the world. Yanci is also an actor, director, producer, and choreographer. Yanci developed his own one man show, which was a mixture of acting, pantomime and mime, spoken word, and non-verbal communication. His signature trademark is “the talking mime.” As of 2017, Yanci is Professor Emeritus at the University of Florida’s School of Theatre and Dance, where he taught for sixteen years. He is author of two books that were published in German, "Bewegung und Koerpersprache" and "Bildlexikon der Mimen."
The Yanci Bukovec Collection contains biographical material, photocopies of clippings, pamphlets, workshop fliers and leaflets, and programs for his performances and performances he did with Marcel Marceau. Materials all date from 1980 to 2007.
