                <emph render="italic">Raiders of the Lost Ark</emph> is the first in the series of Indiana Jones movies, which was released June 12, 1981 by Paramount Pictures. The story was originally called "The Adventures of Indiana Smith", and was meant to recreate the popular movie serials of the 1930s-1940s for a 1980 audience. The
                <emph render="italic">Raiders of the Lost Ark </emph> Screenplay, Revised Fifth Draft includes a copy of the fifth and final draft to George Lucas’s first Indiana Jones movie, 
                <emph render="italic">Raiders of the Lost Ark</emph>, dated May 19, 1980. The screenplay was written by Lawrence Kasdan, and is a photocopy of the original, which was stamped in red with “ROLA 103020” on each page as a security measure.</abstract>

                <emph render="italic">Raiders of the Lost Ark </emph>is the first in the series of Indiana Jones movies, released June 12, 1981, by Paramount Pictures. The story was originally called "The Adventures of Indiana Smith", and was meant to recreate the popular movie serials of the 1930s-1940s for a 1980 audience. After meeting Steven Spielberg while on vacation in Hawaii, Lucas and Spielberg decided to work together on the idea, and screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan was hired by Lucas. Filming for the movie began on June 23, 1980, and John Williams composed the score, which would later be reused for sequels. The script went through five drafts, and some scenes or ideas that were cut from 
                <emph render="italic">Raiders of the Lost Ark</emph> were used in other Indiana Jones films. The film was marketed under the title 
                <emph render="italic">Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark</emph>.</p>
