            <abstract id="ref1" label="Abstract">Fotonovelas are also known as illustrated novels and they are comprised of a narration which is depicted through photographs. The Photograph Layout for an Unidentified Mexican Fotonovela contains 47 black and white photographs. The story begins with a woman applying lipstick. She then becomes upset about an unseen blemish on her face and calls for the 2nd woman. The story then continues with the two women trying masks on the woman, which are not successful. The man arrives and tries a remedy, which then leaves the woman disfigured. Materials are dated circa 1970s-1980s.</abstract>
