The sketchbook was created by Thompson while attending Brighton College. It is dated 1850.</abstract>

            <p>Reginald Edward Thompson (1834-1912) was a British physician who studied at Brighton College, then Trinity College, before attending medical school. He worked as a physician and researched consumption cases in the Brompton Hospital for Consumption from 1869-1894. He was known within his profession as an accomplished draftsman.</p>

            <p>The Sketchbook Created by Reginald Edward Thompson While Attending Brighton College contains one sketchbook with ink drawings of various scenes and figures from classical mythology, Greco-Roman artifacts, and architecture. The sketchbook is inscribed with a note from the creator's son, Reginald Campbell Thompson, indicating that the book was created by his father, Reginald Edward, while attending Brighton College. The book is dated 1850.</p>
