The Battle of Saipan was a World War II battle between the United States and Japan that took place on the island of Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands, from June 15 to July 9, 1944.
Writings on United States Military Service Activities at Saipan and Pornography, Possibly Composed by a Marine During World War II contains a short story about the Battle of Saipan, a poem by Bruce R. Sanderson titled "That Old Gang of Yesteryear," and five short pornographic stories. The combat story, "A "C" Company Patrol," is a short story describing the World War II Battle of Saipan from a United States military perspective. These stories are believed to be fictitious. The author of these writings is unknown, but it is presumed to be a United States Marine, written circa 1945.
