            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Hanns H. Wittlinger World War II Journal contains lengthy entries written by Wittlinger in an 88 page journal kept from August 1939 to 1941. During this time Wittlinger was serving in the German Army in World War II. The journal also contains three photographs, clippings about the war, a ration card, a military driving pass, and other ephemera.</p>
