Allied Forces distributed airborne propaganda in the form of leaflets across German territories near the close of World War II in 1945. Some of these leaflets included quotations from countries' leaders, including British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, urging Germans to surrender. On May 7, 1945, Germany signed an unconditional surrender to the Allied Forces.
