Historical Note

In 2019, the History of Anthropological Theory class gave a generalized overview of anthropological theory and studies from its inception to how it related to modern day concepts and was a core course for undergraduates studying Anthropology at the Ohio State University. As a substitute for traditional final projects, the Fall 2019 class was put into groups and each group created a zine. Zines are handmade publications that can focus on any topic, but are mainly produced to showcase specialized topics or topics that are ignored or overlooked by mainstream media. The zines that were created for the class’ final projects were based on different schools of thought relating to any anthropological theory, study, and/or history of the student groups’ choosing.
