The collection includes discussion about Anaïs Nin and her husband Ian Hugo, as well as the work of other poets and artists.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Rochelle Lynn Holt DuBois (born 1946 in Chicago, Illinois) is, as of 2006, an American poet, educator, and literary editor. DuBois earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa, and a Ph.D. from Columbia Pacific University. She was a student of the French-American diarist and essayist Anaïs Nin. In 1985, 
                <emph render="italic">Letters of Human Nature</emph>, a book she co-wrote with Virginia Love Long, was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. She also served as a writing instructor at several grade schools, colleges, and universities throughout the United States, and lived in New Jersey at the time of this collection's creation.</p>
