Scope and Contents

The Andrew Denny Rodgers Papers contain research materials, drafts, and proofs dated circa 1940-circa 1968. These materials were created or compiled by Andrew Denny Rodgers for books or other publications he authored about botany and botanists or in relation to his study of botany and botanists. The research materials include notes written by Rodgers as well as clippings and photocopies he compiled. The clippings are from various publications, including books, articles, and reports, and the photocopies are reproductions of publications and correspondence. The drafts and manuscripts are typewritten documents intended to be reviewed by a publisher. The proofs are mainly galley proofs, and many of them have had edits pasted or fastened to their pages. Approximate dates were given to materials that are not clearly dated based on the relationship of the materials to Rodgers' published work.
