Rapp was the Vice President of the Prendergast Company, a lumber and coal business located in Marion, Ohio. In addition, Rapp also worked on gathering pledges for the Warren G. Harding Memorial.</abstract>

            <p>The Orlando S. Rapp Papers are comprised of correspondence and photographs related to Rapp’s business, civic, political and personal life. Correspondence includes both letters received and copies of letters sent by Rapp, some of which are to President Warren G. Harding and his personal secretary George B. Christian. Other major topics in correspondence include Rapp’s participation in organizations such as: the Freemasons, the Marion Country Club, the Greens Committee of the United States Golf Association, the Harding Memorial Association, and his business (the Prendergast Company of Marion, Ohio). Materials range in date from 1917-1928.</p>
