            <p>As of 2025, Jay Hoster is a former bookstore owner and author based in Columbus, Ohio. Hoster is a collector and historian on the Columbus, Ohio author and illustrator James Thurber.</p>
            <p>James Thurber (1894-1961) was an American cartoonist and humor writer. Thurber's cartoons and short stories were primarily published in 
                <title render="italic">The New Yorker</title>, but he also published several plays, musicals, children's books, and numerous collections of his stories and drawings.</p>
