            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>As of 2025, Tony Drayton (1958-), also known as Tony D, is a zine editor who created 
                <emph render="italic">Ripped &amp; Torn</emph> initially in Glasgow, Scotland and later in London, England during the rise of the punk scene in Europe. Drayton published 17 issues of the zine between 1976-1979.</p>
            <p>Vermilion, also known as Vermilion Sands, was a member of the American punk band Mary Monday, and a writer for American punk zine Search &amp; Destroy; Vermilion created issue 18 of 
                <emph render="italic">Ripped &amp; Torn</emph>.</p>

            <p>The 
                <emph render="italic">Ripped &amp; Torn</emph> Zine collection contains 15 issues including issue #1, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12, #13, #15, #16, #17, and #18. These zines were created between 1976-1979. The topics in the collection focus on punk music venues, upcoming shows, reviews of musicians, bands, and music mainly from Europe.</p>
