            <head>Historical Note</head>
            <p>Saussine was a game and puzzle publisher founded by Léon Saussine in Paris, France in 1860. Saussine exhibited at the 1878 World Fair in Paris. After his death in 1896, Léon Saussine's wife and sons took over the company, which continued to be active into the early 20th century.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Saussine Puzzle Game of Architecture in Paris and Unknown Location Labeled as "Fort Arabe," dated circa 1910, contains a set of toy blocks with color images on each side that mainly depict architecture and monuments in Paris, France. The images on the blocks can be assembled to show different scenes, including the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe l'Étoile, the Viaduc d'Auteuil, a multi-story building with people living inside and a cafe on the first floor, and a train station. Also included is an image labeled "Fort Arabe" that depicts a battle scene at an unspecified location. The box for the puzzle is also included, and the images that can be made with the blocks are printed on the inside of the box lid with a title for each image.</p>
