                <emph render="italic">Psyclone</emph>. The zine featured new music acts, mainly punk and new wave. Also covered in the zines were upcoming shows in the San Francisco area, interviews with musicians, and record reviews. Materials are dated February 1977 to June 1977.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Jerry Paulsen was an early promoter of punk and new wave acts at San Francisco's Mabuhay Gardens, a nightclub where up and coming musical acts that were featured in his zine 
                <emph render="italic">Psyclone </emph>could play. In addition to local San Fransico acts, touring bands that later grew in popularity would also play the venue.</p>
            <p>Paulsen's zine 
                <emph render="italic">Psyclone</emph> ran for three issues, from February of 1977 to June of 1977. It was one of the earliest zines to cover the Bay Area punk music scene.</p>
