            <abstract id="ref11" label="Abstract">David Tod Gilliam was born on April 3, 1844 in Hebron, Ohio and was a doctor and professor of obstetrics and gynecology in Columbus, Ohio, at the Columbus Medical College. Gilliam wrote several medical texts and two fiction books. His manuscript "God and Religion as Revealed in Nature" was left unfinished upon his death in 1923. The Typescript for "God and Religion as Revealed in Nature" by David Tod Gilliam contains one undated typescript written by Gilliam, a black cardboard box that enclosed the typescript, and a 
                <emph render="italic">Columbus Dispatch</emph> newspaper dated July 9, 1922, that was laid in the bottom of the box with the typescript. Laid in between pages of the typescript was an advertising blotter paper from the Ohio Medical Products Company Antiseptic Solution. It is unknown when Gilliam wrote this typescript, but the inclusion of the dated newspaper indicates that he may have been working on it in 1922.</abstract>

            <p>David Tod Gilliam was born on April 3, 1844 in Hebron, Ohio, and later resided in Nelsonville, Ohio. He was a doctor and professor of obstetrics and gynecology in Columbus, Ohio, at the Columbus Medical College. Gilliam wrote several medical texts and two fiction books. His manuscript "God and Religion as Revealed in Nature" was left unfinished upon his death in 1923.</p>

            <p>The Typescript for "God and Religion as Revealed in Nature" by David Tod Gilliam contains one undated typescript written by Gilliam, a black cardboard box that enclosed the typescript, and a 
                <emph render="italic">Columbus Dispatch</emph> newspaper dated July 9, 1922, that was laid in the bottom of the box with the typescript. The typescript describes the relationship between God as an entity and nature, and the metaphysical questions that come from that relationship. Laid in between pages of the typescript was an advertising blotter paper from the Ohio Medical Products Company Antiseptic Solution.
