                <emph render="italic">Sniffin' Glue</emph> Zine was published by Mark Perry on a monthly basis from July 1976 until August/September 1977; the DIY fanzine ran for 12 issues in total and was the first to write about punk rock in England while documenting the early days of the punk movement. This collection consists of seven issues of 
                <emph render="italic">Sniffin' Glue</emph> Zine, which date from September 1976 to August/September 1977. Issues include content such as reviews of punk rock gigs and records, interviews with bands, photographs of punk rock performances, and advertisements for albums.</abstract>

            <head>Historical Note</head>
            <p>
                <emph render="italic">Sniffin' Glue</emph> Zine was started by Mark Perry in July 1976, and ran for 12 issues; the name was taken from the Ramones song "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue." The DIY fanzine was the first to write about punk rock in England and documented the early days of the punk movement, which was ignored by the mainstream press at the time. The final issue of 
                <emph render="italic">Sniffin' Glue</emph> was distributed in August-September 1977; Perry ended the zine for fear of becoming a part of mainstream music press, which was the antithesis of the zine's purpose. Following 
                <emph render="italic">Sniffin' Glue</emph>, Perry began a career as a writer and musician.</p>
