Founded in 2005, the press specializes in publishing literary fiction and "books too loud to ignore," and also includes a micro-budget film production arm known as Two Dollar Radio Moving Pictures. Two Dollar Radio Records includes reviews, typescripts, drafts, proposals, and promotional blurbs for books published by Two Dollar Radio, as well as articles written about and promoting the organization.  Historical Note

As of 2020, Two Dollar Radio is an independent publisher located in Columbus, Ohio that publishes an average of 5-6 books annually. Founded in 2005 by the husband-and-wife team Eric Obenauf and Eliza Wood-Obenauf, the press specializes in publishing literary fiction and "books too loud to ignore." In 2013, Two Dollar Radio Moving Pictures emerged as a micro-budget film production arm of the organization, and as of 2020, has produced two feature films. Two Dollar Radio Headquarters was opened in 2017 on the south side of Columbus, and includes a retail space for books and merchandise, space for events such as book clubs and author talks, and a vegan cafe. Also in 2017, the organization founded Flyover Fest, a multiple-day arts festival held annually in Columbus featuring books, music, and film. Many of the works published by Two Dollar Radio have won literary awards and recognition.

Two Dollar Radio's statement of purpose, correspondence with authors and reviewers, stencils used for printing desgins onto shirts and other merchandise, and book shelf talkers made of scrap wood pieces to promote items in their bookstore. Fliers, program notes, and a screening at the Wexner Center for the Arts for the 2015 film "I'm Not Patrick," produced by Two Dollar Radio Moving Pictures and directed by owner Eric Obenauf.

Publications include a booksellers guide and an andvanced reader's copy of Alligator by Dima Alzayat. Posters in the accession advertise events and author readers at the Two Dollar Radio headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Author signed bookplates and bookmark were created in 2020 in lieu of in person author signings due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Book reviews include clippings from magazines about select books from the publisher and about Two Dollar Radio as an organization. Materials are dated from 2016 to 2020.
