            <abstract id="ref1" label="Abstract">As of 2015, James Sanders was a visual poet and member of the Atlanta Poets Group. The Group ran a magazine named 
                <emph render="italic">Spaltung</emph> as late as 2009. Sanders has frequently read his poetry, producing vocal performance recordings that were sometimes accompanied by music. The James Sanders Collection of Experimental and Visual Poetry collection contains visual poetry, including a compact disc stamped with the words "Spalzw tungei," and a black and white visual poetry booklet. It also contains an envelope stamped with the words "Spaltung" and an experimental poetry item that is a decorated cigarette box with the words "more," and "wait" printed on it. The collection is dated circa 2009.</abstract>

            <p>As of 2015, James Sanders was a visual poet and member of the Atlanta Poets Group. Founded in 1997, the Group ran a magazine named 
                <emph render="italic">Spaltung</emph> as late as 2009. Sanders has frequently read his poetry, producing vocal performance recordings that were sometimes accompanied by music. Modern visual poetry can range from more conventionally presented poetry to poems that are very interpretive and dependent on the context that they are displayed in, often relying on visual or auditory accompaniment, while experimental poetry can encompass physical objects and other nonconventional forms.</p>
