            <abstract id="ref2" label="Abstract">Grace Parsons Harmon was a nationally recognized American poet whose work has appeared in various publications. The Grace Parsons Harmon Poetry collection contains a three-ring binder of poems written by Grace Parsons Harmon. The binder, which was compiled by Harmon, is illustrated with her monogram on the front cover. Most of the poems are typed and include notes from Harmon about where they were published. Several of the poems are published versions clipped from newspapers and pasted onto the page. Materials date 1925-1966.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Grace Parsons Harmon (1884-1982) was a nationally recognized American poet whose work has appeared in various publications. She received a Bachelor of Arts in 1911 from Bates College in Maine, and completed some graduate work at the University of Maine, the University of Southern California, the University of California, and the University of Arizona. Harmon also taught high school and worked as a dean of girls.</p>
