                <emph render="italic">Bikini Girl</emph> Zines, dating 1979-1987, 1998 September 3, contains issues 2-6, 8, and 9 by Lisa Baumgardner, often under the pseudonym "Deena Schwartzbaum." 
                <emph render="italic">Bikini Girl</emph> covered topics of feminism, art, sexual dominance and submission, and the music and punk scene in New York City during the late 1970s and early 1980s, in the form of short stories, poems, interviews, satirical advertisements, and collages by various contributors.</abstract>

            <p>Lisa Baumgardner (1958-2015) was a freelance editor and publisher, model, dancer, and artist who spent much of her life in New York City. She later lived in St. Denis, France, a suburb of Paris. Baumgardner frequently edited and published the zine 
                <emph render="italic">Bikini Girl</emph> under the pseudonym "Deena Schwartzbaum."</p>

                <emph render="italic">Bikini Girl</emph> Zines, dating 1979-1987, 1998 September 3, contains issues 2-6, 8, and 9. The zine was published by Lisa Baumgardner beginning in 1978, often under the pseudonym "Deena Schwartzbaum," and contained contributions from multiple writers, photographers, and artists. Printed on pink copy paper in black and white, 
                <emph render="italic">Bikini Girl</emph> covered topics of feminism, art, sexual dominance and submission, and the music and punk scene in New York City during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
