August Weissenberger was a German engineer in the 19th century. Prvislav Weissenberger Raganzini (1902-2000), was a Croatian economist and professor who moved to Chile in the 1950s. He received his doctorate in economics at the University of Frankfurt in 1925. Weissenberger Raganzini was employed as a civil servant for Croatia between 1937-1944. He was a professor at the Universidad Catolica de Santiago de Chile. He authored books and pamphlets about the Croatian economy and the Croatian migration to Chile.
The August Weissenberger and Prvislav Weissenberger Raganzini Papers contains contains August Weissenberger’s notebook, which is in German, “Technische Notizen Von August Weissenberger K.K. Oberlieutenant II. Theil.” The rest of the collection consists of materials from Prvislav Weissenberger Raganzini including his passpor and the book "U potrazi za Hrvatima : kroz Juznu Ameriku" in Croatian by Ivan Hetrich. It also includes pamphlets and essays in Croatian and Spanish written by Weissenberger Raganzini. Photographs and newspaper clipping in Spanish and Russian are included. Materials are dated 1878, 1939-1983.
