            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>As of 2017, Thomas M. Cassidy, also known as Musicmaster, is an American artist and performance poet. He has been active in the smallpress, mail-art, and visual poetry worlds since 1972. As a founding member of the performance poetry/art troupe The Impossibilists, Cassidy co-published all 23 Impossibilist manifiestos. He has published several books of poetry and artwork, including ONDA (2009), a collaboration with experimental writer John M. Bennett.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The John M. Bennett Correspondence with Thomas M. Cassidy (Musicmaster) contains printouts of email correspondence between John M. Bennett and Thomas M. Cassidy from 2007-2009. Most messages from Cassidy have artwork attached. The artwork consists of colorful abstract images, often incorporating bird-like figures, superimposed over the text of poems or pages removed from books. Some of this artwork is solo work, while other pieces are collaborations with Bennett.</p>
