            <p>As of 2017, Ben Vautier, also known simply as Ben, is a French artist known mostly for his text-based paintings or "ecritures." He became active as an artist in the late 1950s and was a pioneer of the experimental, neo-dada Fluxus movement in the 1960s. His online presence consists of his website (ben-vautier.com), a YouTube channel, and an email newsletter (
