In June 1889, the Cleveland Columbus Cincinnati and Indianapolis Railway Company, the Cincinnati Indianapolis St Louis and Chicago Railway Company, and the Indianapolis and St Louis Railway Company, consolidated to create the The Cleveland Cincinnati Chicago and St. Louis Railway Company.
