            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>James N. Dingwall was a member of the United States Army Air Corps Service during World War II. He began his military service in October of 1943, training at Stuttgart, Arkansas. Dingwall later saw combat in Italy and North Africa and was held in Germany as a prisoner of war.</p>

            <p>The James N. Dingwall Correspondence with Chris Dingwall on World War II Army Air Corps Service contains letters between U.S. Army Air Corps member James N. Dingwall and his wife, Chris Dingwall, while James was serving in World War II. This collection also contains some photographs, a newspaper clipping, and letters from Dingwall's time as a prisoner of war in Germany. The collection dates from October 1943 to January 1945.</p>
