            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>As of 2020, Joel Dailey is a poet who lives in New Orleans, Louisiana. He founded the poetry publication 
                <emph render="italic">Fell Swoop</emph> in 1983, for which he also served as the editor. Dailey was an Associate Professor of English at Delgado Community College in Louisiana from 1990-2017. He has written numerous poetry books, including 
                <emph render="italic">My Psychic Dogs My Life</emph>, 
                <emph render="italic">Surprised by French Fries</emph>, 
                <emph render="italic">Industrial Loop</emph>, and 
                <emph render="italic">Elements of Style</emph>. Dailey's work has also been published in magazines, including 
                <emph render="italic">Rolling Stone</emph>, 
                <emph render="italic">Exquisite Corpse</emph>, and 
                <emph render="italic">New American Writing</emph>.</p>
