            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Ronald L. Stuckey served as professor of botany at Ohio State University from 1965 to 1991. Stuckey is an internationally recognized authority on the identification and geographical distribution of aquatic and wetland plants in North America, and, as of 2010, has published more than 200 articles on the subject. After his retirement in 1991, Stuckey continued to research and publish in the field of botany.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Ronald L. Stuckey Research on Edgar N. Transeau contain two binders related to Stuckey’s research on ecologist Edgar N. Transeau. The first binder contains copies of topographic maps, surveys and research on Ohio’s climate and vegetation between 1820 and 1994, primarily conducted by Edgar N. Transeau. The second binder contains Ronald Stuckey’s 2005 draft of a paper titled: “Edgar N. Transeau (1875-1960): Distinguished Educator and Ecologist. His Mapping of Vegetation Centers, Climate, and the Prairie Peninsula. An Anthology of Papers”.</p>
