            <abstract id="ref2" label="Abstract">As of 2017, Willie Marlowe is an artist and former Professor Emerita at The Sage Colleges in New York, where she taught painting, drawing, and international studies programs from 1977-2008. The Willie Marlowe Artwork collection contains individual sheets of prints, some of which are signed by the artist. Sheets are composed of individual works done within a thematic series which are separated by perforation to model postage stamps.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Willie Marlowe was born in 1943 in Whiteville, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University in 1965, and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Idaho in 1969. As of 2017, Marlowe is a Professor Emerita at The Sage Colleges in New York, where she had previously taught painting, drawing, and the international studies programs from 1977-2008, and had sabbaticals in 1986 and 2005. Marlowe became a member of the International Union of Mail Artists (IUOMA) in 2012. Marlowe has participated in various artist residencies and many art shows in the United States and abroad.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Willie Marlowe Artwork contains individual sheets of prints, some of which are signed by her. Sheets are composed of individual works done within a thematic series which are separated by perforation to model postage stamps. Art is done with either paint or digitally.</p>
