Biographical Note

David Rosenberg (1943-), as of 2017, was an American poet and biblical translator. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan in creative writing in 1964 and a Masters of Fine Arts from Syracuse University in 1966. Rosenberg has taught at a range of insitutions including York University, Central Conneticut State University, and City University of New York La Guardia. He has held a number of senior editor positions at the Jewish Publication Society, Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, "The Ant's Forefoot", and "Forthcoming". Rosenberg has translated bibical texts and passages for several publications including "Abraham: The First Historical Biography" and "The Book of J," a book he co-wrote with Harold Bloom. He has also published books of his own poetry. Many of Rosenberg's poetry books and poetry magazines that he edited were published by Coach House Press.

The David Rosenberg Papers, Including Selected Coach House Press Records contain poetry publications that Rosenberg either wrote or edited, some of which were published by Coach House Press, as well as other poetry publications from Coach House Press that were not written or edited by Rosenberg.
