Bennett (born 1942) is, as of 2022, an American experimental visual poet. The Michelle Greenblatt and John M. Bennett Collaborative Draft of "Shape" contains a poem, entitled "Shape," collaboratively written by Greenblatt and Bennett via email over the course of three months, from October to December 2005.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Michelle Sara Greenblatt (1982-2015) was an American experimental poet from Broward County, Florida. Her work was published in literary journals such as 
                <emph render="italic">Poetry Magazine</emph>, 
                <emph render="italic">Free Verse</emph>, 
                <emph render="italic">Sugar Mule</emph>, and 
                <emph render="italic">Sawbuck</emph>. Her solo work was published as two books: 
                <emph render="italic">brain : storm</emph> (2006) and 
                <emph render="italic">ASHES AND SEEDS</emph> (2014). Greenblatt often collaborated with other experimental and visual poets including Vernon Frazer, Sheila E. Murphy, John M. Bennett, and Jukka-Pekka Kervinian. She also served as the Poetry editor for 
                <emph render="italic">Unlikely Stories: Episode IV</emph>, a web-based literary journal that published poetry, fiction, visual art, music, and works of social activism. After her death, an issue of 
                <emph render="italic">Unlikely Stories: Episode IV</emph>, entitled "Devorah," was published in memory of Greenblatt.</p>
            <p>John M. Bennett (born 1942) is, as of 2022, an American experimental and visual poet. He was editor of the 
                <emph render="italic">Lost and Found Times</emph>, a journal of experimental poetry and art, from 1975 to 2005, and owns Luna Bisonte Prods, a small press that publishes experimental works. He served as the founding curator of the Avant Writing Collection at the Ohio State University Libraries.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Michelle Greenblatt and John M. Bennett Collaborative Draft of "Shape" contains a poem, entitled "Shape," collaboratively written by Greenblatt and Bennett via email over the course of three months, from October to December 2005. Bennett started the poem with two lines and sent it to Greenblatt, whereupon Greenblatt added another two lines and sent it back to Bennett. This exchange continued until the project was completed. The emails that compose this collection were then printed in reverse chronological order by John M. Bennett and donated to the Ohio State University Libraries.</p>
