As of 2018, Shawn McMurtagh is a visual poet who creates artists' books that he calls microbooks. He also works under the name McMurtagh.

The Shawn McMurtagh Microbooks contains visual poems, "Wear Your Mind" visual poetry designs, "Experimental Forms of Poetry," visual poetry collaborations with John M. Bennett, all of which are microbooks; microbooks is McMurtagh's term for artists' books. Materials are dated circa 2010s.
