His daughter, Marian Davis, attended high school in the Coshocton area from 1948-1952. The Charles Davis and Marian Davis Papers contains yearbooks, sheet music, diaries, souvenirs, photographs, and postcards.There are also materials from Marian's childhood, as well as documents from Charles Davis's time in the military and working for the railroad. Materials date from 1876-1974 and 2007.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>The Davis family lived in Coshocton County, Ohio, in the early 20th century. Charles Henry Davis served in the Army during World War I with the 308th Engineers. He later worked as a carpenter and general laborer with the Pennsylvania Railroad's "bridge gang". His daughter, Marian Davis, grew up in 1930s-1950s, graduating from high school in 1952.</p>
