It dealt primarily with the distribution of estates, but also handled matters such as adoption and guardianship. The Guardianships and Estates Ledger, Likely from Probate Courts in the United States is a ledger of court probate records from the United States, documenting executors and appraisers appointed to estate settlements and guardianship appointments and bonds. The ledger also contains an alphabetical index that lists each estate and/or person in the ledger. The ledger contains records from the March term of 1825 to the May term of 1832.</abstract>

            <p>The Guardianships and Estates Ledger, Likely from Probate Courts in the United States is a ledger of court probate records from the United States, documenting executors and appraisers appointed to estate settlements and guardianship appointments and bonds. Each record has a column that lists the applicable fees and costs. The ledger also contains an alphabetical index that lists each estate and/or person in the ledger. The ledger contains records from the March term of 1825 to the May term of 1832, and was later used as a child’s notebook, with drawings, stamped art, and a log of marks received for deportment and other subjects in school.</p>
