            <abstract id="ref22" label="Abstract">Ruth Baurele was an assistant professor of English at Ohio Wesleyan University from 1962-1986. She taught freshman courses on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph>, an American literary magazine founded in 1925. The Ruth Bauerle Collection on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> Compiled to Teach an English Course at Ohio Wesleyan University contains materials sent to Ruth Bauerle from 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> magazine at her request in 1977 and 1983 in order to facilitate the teaching of her freshman English course on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> at Ohio Wesleyan University. Materials from 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> include promotional materials, articles on the history of the magazine, staff memos, and six booklets on selective marketing and analysis of characteristics of subscriber households. The collection also contains research on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph>, including clippings. The collection is dated 1968-1983.</abstract>

            <p>Ruth Baurele was an assistant professor of English at Ohio Wesleyan University from 1962-1986. She taught freshman courses on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph>, an American literary magazine founded in 1925. The magazine, still active as of 2019, has published works from many well-known American authors and cartoonists such as Ogden Nash, S.J. Perelman, E.B. White, and James Thurber.</p>

            <p>The Ruth Bauerle Collection on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> Compiled to Teach an English Course at Ohio Wesleyan University contains materials sent to Ruth Bauerle from 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> magazine at her request in 1977 and 1983 in order to facilitate the teaching of her freshman English course on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> at Ohio Wesleyan University. Materials from 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> include promotional materials such as staff profiles, advertising brochures, rate diagrams, and other publications, articles on the history of the magazine, staff memos highlighting articles written about the 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph> outside the organization, and six booklets on selective marketing and analysis of characteristics of subscriber households produced by the marketing department. The collection also contains research on 
                <emph render="italic">The New Yorker</emph>, including clippings. The collection is dated 1968-1983.</p>
