            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Donald L. Jeanroy served in the United States Navy from 1954-1958. Jeanroy participated in Operation Deep Freeze I, II, and III, which were United States military missions that dated from 1955-1958, that often involved the Navy, undergone to support the scientific expeditions of American scientists.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>The Donald L. Jeanroy Papers, which dates from 1954-1958, 2005, 2012, with most of the material dating from 1954-1958, contains scrapbooks, publications, photographs, biographical information, correspondence, a patch, postal covers and postcards. Most of the collection's correspondence is addressed to Marie "Mom" Jeanroy. Also includes a collection of letters sent to Nadine Parkinson. The two were penpals during this time. The 2005 and 2012 materials are journal articles authored by Jeanroy regarding his participation in Operation Highjump.</p>
