The Eileen Bradner Oral History dates June 16 and September 10, 2025, and consists of a audio recording and edited transcript of the interview between Eileen Bradner and Katie Saucer. Topics discussed in this oral history include Bradner's early career in politics, her work as Senator John Glenn's legislative assistant, and work with the Senate Special Committee on Aging and the Federal Employee Retirement System.</abstract>

            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>As of 2026, Eileen Bradner is a retired Senior Director and Counsel of federal government affairs at Nucor Corporation. Bradner was born in Toldeo, Ohio in 1959, and she earned her bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Toledo in 1980. While completing her juris doctor at Georgetown University Law Center, Bradner worked with the United States Senate on the Special Committee on Aging, and she helped with the development of the Federal Employee Retirement System. She later joined Senator John Glenn's staff as a legislative assistant. As his assistant, Bradner managed a legislative portfolio focused on manufacturing, trade, and economic policy. She was also involved in advocacy for Ohio's industrial base and trade legislation during the 1980s. After graduating from law school, Bradner transitioned to private practice at Wiley Rein &amp; Fielding, where she specialized in international trade law and represented American manufacturers. In 2009, she established a Washington, D.C. office for Nucor Corporation, a steel production company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. She retired in 2023.</p>
