Jeri Ann B. Milstead (1936-) received her diploma from the Mt. Carmel School of Nursing and a certificate in psychiatric nursing from the Ohio Department of Mental Health. After working for 12 years in different nursing roles, Milstead returned to school to earn her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from The Ohio State University. After completing her degrees, she took the position of dean of nursing at the Muskingum Area Technical College in Zanesville, Ohio, and then served as the associate executive director of the Ohio Nurses Association. When she took a position at Clemson University, she also pursued a PhD at the University of Georgia graduating in 1988. Milstead followed Clemson with academic roles at Duquesne University and the University of Toledo. She became a professor emeritus at the University of Toledo in 2008 and then an adjunct professor at the Ohio State School of Nursing.

The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services, which must be performed by staff.
