Jeanne Ann Clement received her diploma in nursing from the Fairview Park Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. Working in psychiatric nursing at a VA hospital in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area she determined that this was the branch of nursing about which she was most passionate. Glasgow earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, master’s degree from Hunter College-Bellevue, and doctoral degree from Columbia University Teacher’s College. In 1981 she and her family moved to Columbus, Ohio, where she began a long tenure with The Ohio State University College of Nursing, retiring in 2011 as an associate professor with emeritus status. The second portion of her career is actively providing clinical care through Central Ohio Behavioral Medicine. Glasgow has been active in professional organizations, including the Ohio Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, the Society on Education and Research in Psychiatric Nursing, and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, for which she served in the role of president. She was named a Living Legend in Nursing by The Ohio State University Medical Heritage Center Nursing History Committee in 2008, just one of many honors and awards.

The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised reading room.
