            <head>Biography</head>
            <p>Barbara A. Nash earned a diploma from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in 1964, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University in 1982, and her Master of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University in 1987. With fellow nurse, Pamela S. Dickerson, she established LifeWise, Inc. and PRN Continuing Education, Inc. Nash also provided the nursing service and health education for the health center at Capital University. She taught nursing in central Ohio at Capital University, Franklin University, The Ohio State University and Otterbein University. She is involved in multiple professional organizations. After relocating to South Carolina, she began teaching as adjunct nursing faculty at the University of South Carolina, Beaufort, and ran for political office.</p>

            <p>The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical
                Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised
                reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be
                too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services,
                which must be performed by staff.
