Pamela S. Dickerson graduated from the Riverside-White Cross School of Nursing in 1969 and then returned to her hometown of Coshocton, Ohio, to work at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital. Moving with her military family to Germany and then Virginia, she became involved in post-partum education. Dickerson completed her BSN in 1974 at the Old Dominion University School of Nursing in Norfolk, Virginia, and her master’s degree at The Ohio State University College of Nursing in 1978. While teaching nursing technology at the Columbus Technical Institute she met a fellow nurse and future business partner, Barbara Nash. They founded two independent nursing practices, LifeWise, Inc. and PRN Continuing Education, Inc. Dickerson earned her PhD in Health Administration from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama, in the 1990s.

The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised reading room.
