Carol Bigelow Prince (1938-2024) entered The Ohio State University School of Nursing in 1956 graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1960. After earning her master’s degree in medical Surgical Nursing with a focus on education, Prince taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State and Ohio Wesleyan University. In the final years of her career, she was a nurse consultant at the Elizabeth Blackwell Center, a women’s health center at Riverside Hospital.
The Carol B. Prince Oral History (0.25 linear foot) contains copies of an oral history interview conducted with Prince on April 1, 2014, about her life and career.
The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services, which must be performed by staff.
