Kitty Lien Kisker began studying nursing at Case Western Reserve University. She transferred her sophomore year to The Ohio State University where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She was hired as nursing faculty after she graduated in 1967 and spent her career at Ohio State, retiring in 2002. During this period, she was part of broad changes in the nursing program, including growth in the number of students and the School of Nursing becoming an independent college.
The Kitty Kisker Oral History (0.25 linear foot) contains copies of an oral history interview conducted with Kisker on September 2, 2011, about her life and career. Oral history materials are accompanied by an excerpt from the School of Nursing alumni newsletter and materials from the Cum Cura and Torch Club organizations.
The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services, which must be performed by staff.
