            <head>Biography</head>
            <p>Sandra Roberts Byers graduated from the New York University School of Nursing in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She moved with her husband to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C., where she was a surgical staff nurse, teacher and Lamaze instructor. Byers moved to Columbus, Ohio, in the mid-1960s. She graduated from The Ohio State University with her Master’s in Nursing focused on administration and education in 1972. Administrative positions at Ohio State University Hospitals, Riverside Methodist Hospital, Health Management Services, Grant Hospital and the Ohio Hospital Association followed. Byers also earned her PhD, was active in the Ohio Nursing Association and served on the State Board of Nursing.</p>

            <head>Restrictions on Access</head>
            <p>The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical
                Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised
                reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be
                too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services,
                which must be performed by staff.
