        <bioghist encodinganalog="545">
            <head>Biography</head>
            <p>Fay Carol Reed (1934-2024) earned her bachelor's degree in 1958 from the University of Pittsburgh and worked at McKeesport Hospital, a suburb of the city. In 1962 Reed received her master’s degree with a major in surgical nursing and a minor in education also from the University of Pittsburgh where she then taught surgical nursing for three years. At The Ohio State University Reed obtained a PhD in higher education administration with dual minors in clinical psychology and nursing. For five years she was the Assistant Dean at the Case Western University School of Nursing. After pursuing a variety of opportunities, Reed was the dean of the School of Nursing at Ohio Wesleyan University from 1975 until 1995. She then held positions at the University of Cincinnati before retiring in 2003.</p>

            <head>Restrictions on Access</head>
            <p>The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical
                Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised
                reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be
                too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services,
                which must be performed by staff.
